It's Mandatory

Orientation for F-1 and J-1 Internation al Students and Scholars is mandatory. It is also an essential part of your Adelhi experience and a requirement from the Office of International Student Services.

It will help to make your adjustment to college life easier, your transition to Adelphi a smooth one and will provide you with essential information regarding your immigration status you will need in order to be in compliance with federal regulations. As am International student, whether a resident or commuter, we want you to feel confident, focused and comfortable on your first day of class. A big part of that is achived at Orientation where you will learn about the campus and get to know other members of your class.

International Student Orientation

International students attend a one day orientation to register with the Office of International Student Services, complete necessary paperwork needed as an F-1 or J-1 student, familiarize themselves with the campus, learn about facilities and services offered at adelphi and have a chance to ask questions, get their ID card, purchase books and finalize the details prior to beginning class. Most international students register before orientation. You will ne contacted by an academic advisor regarding registration.
